Welcome to the beautiful Village of Masset, a small fishing community located in the northern end of Graham Island, the largest of the Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands. The village’s rich cultural history and close-knit community spirit have produced famous Haida artists, such as Robert Davidson, and is home to many spring and summer festivals. The area’s stunning views and natural wonders offer visitors spectacular sightseeing as well as hiking, fishing and bird-watching.

Enjoy Masset’s stunning natural beauty on one of the many hiking trails in the surrounding area. With trails for every abilityand age, visitors can discover the emerald beauty of the forests or explore the sandy beaches. 

The small community hosts many festivals during the spring and summer months, celebrating the best of Canadian arts and culture. Hosted the second week of July, The Edge of the World Music Festival features local artists as well as off-island talent. Other festivals include Masset
Harbour Days, Sport Day and the Tlell Fall Fair.

The Village of Masset is committed to the conservation of wildlife and is home to the Delkatka Wildlife Sanctuary. Delkatka plays an important role in the preservation of coastal wetlands and is an important migratory site for hundred of waterfowl and shorebirds. Visit the Delkatla Wildlife Sanctuary Nature Interpretive Center or explore the sanctuary’s viewing platforms, shoreline access viewpoints and short walking trails.
